'The brand Cloud Nine launched with irons a year ago, an obvious choice since the team originally masterminded ghds. But now they have created something that really pushes the boundaries with its latest launch, The O.
The O is, simply put, a heated roller system. However, it has many clever differences to a traditional roller set. The O rollers look like Velcro but don’t feel like it and don’t cling or pull at the hair. But the most exciting feature is the way The O heats the rollers. You pop one in, wait three seconds for the ‘ready’ beep and take the, now hot, roller out. How is it so quick? The O uses heat induction technology which gets the rollers up to a super-hot 130 degrees; they heat up from the core so they are easy to handle and place into the hair without the risk of burning.
These rollers are ideal for creating that expensive-looking volume to the hair that is so popular right now. To ensure you get body that stays put all day you need to wait for the rollers to cool – the secret to setting hair into a long-lasting style is in the cooling.
ELLEuk.com’s editor Carrie Gorman who is already a fan of Velcro rollers tried out The O, here is her verdict: “The O is so much faster than normal heated rollers. Each roller heats up in just 3 seconds. They’re lightweight and don’t drag on the hair, and the end result is natural looking body which doesn’t drop out easily”'/
