Catwalk Inspiration - Wonderous Waves
There’s no need to wave goodbye to soft, tousled hair just yet. AW15 Haute Couture Week saw natural, wavy locks tumbling down the Parisian catwalks in a bid to prolong this classic summer hairstyle…
With waves usually seen at the beach or a festival in the summer months, this transition into A/W shows at Valentino, Christian Dior and Atelier Versace suggests this effortless hair trend is here to stay well into the wintry seasons.
Designers travelled back to their roots for AW15 couture week. Valentino showcased a Rome inspired collection with opulent gladiator skirts and luxurious Pagan gowns with subtle waves pushed back behind the shoulders adorned with gold head crowns.
Donatella Versace was inspired by the 70’s for Versace, with the collection taking on a fluid, hippy style reflected in the models’ soft loose waves embellished with petal garlands.
Raf Simons mixed the traditional Dior aesthetic with modernity at Christian Dior with natural, tousled waves for a pure look.
Recreate this couture catwalk look for AW15 with the award winning Cloud Nine Waving Wand. The long, straight, super smooth, mineral coated ceramic barrel allows you to create soft and perfectly formed loose curls with added shine.
