Hello Summer Holidays!
Summer is here and it's now time to enjoy our Summer holidays! Some of the Cloud Nine girls have already been away enjoying hotter temperatures and they let us know about all about it!
- Sophie - Vilamoura, Algarve
My place is Vilamoura Marina in the south of Portugal. Me and my family love this destination so much we have bought two apartments and go regularly. It’s such a beautiful place, with great weather, amazing beaches and great food, and very friendly people!
- Becky - Morocco
First time I had been and chose there for the culture and weather. The resort was fantastic with beautiful architecture/buildings. I had my first visit to a Souk – wow! What an amazing array of colour as you meander between the stalls which were selling anything from spices, fruit, vegetables through to jewellery, bags and homewares. It was like travelling round a maze where you could easily get caught up in all the bartering and endless stalls.
- Becky - Dubai
First time there, went to train the new Distributor but then had a couple of days hols – a totally different world out there, sky high buildings and sky high heat lol! A very fast paced way of life as soon as you leave the world’s largest international airport as you wind in and out of the 6 lane motorways its nonstop from there on. I went up the Burj Khalifa (world’s tallest building) as my ears were popping away in the lift going all the way up to floor 123 to the Atmosphere Bar - saw the world’s famous dancing fountains which are right outside the Burj Khalifa and dined at the One and Only Restaurant (to name a few of the AMAZING things I saw whilst out there) – gives you a real buzz when you are there but then it’s nice to get back to reality!
- Tiffany - Mojocar, Spain
We have a family apartment there in a small complex opposite a lovely sandy beach. I love Mojacar as it’s a really chilled, friendly place & is ALWAYS sunny!! Mojacar is a low rise Andalucian style beach resort with some great restaurants & an interesting small shopping centre. Whist there we always walk up to Mojacar Pueblo at least once during our stay. Mojacar Pueblo is a white washed hill top village which nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range. When I’m there I love going for a walk along the beach each morning, followed by breakfast by the sea. The rest of my time there is spent relaxing in the sun & then out every evening to find a new restaurant to try with a few “copas de vino blanco“!
I would recommend Mojacar for families, couples & even groups of friends as it has a good range of beach side bars, great sunny weather & friendly people.
- Vanessa - Corfu
I have been to Corfu many times with both my family and my friends, it is a beautiful place with so much to offer! From cosmopolitan bars to traditional candle lit tavernas overlooking the sandy beaches. I chose to stay in a small laid back town which was so beautiful and peaceful. I spent my days there exploring the numerous cafes and restaurants, the seafood is all fresh and tastes amazing!
The best part of my holiday to Corfu was hiring a boat, this gave us the freedom to go out and explore all the other bays and towns. It really was a dream being out at sea on our own boat sipping prosecco! The main town of Corfu is an amazing place full of history, the architecture is Venetian and I loved all the pretty cobbled streets with white shutters and balconies.
I can’t wait to go back, the weather is always great and the people are so friendly. It really is a perfect place to go and just relax!
- Rosie - Mykonos
Mykonos is an absolutely beautiful island, blue seas and white beaches everywhere you look. We took a risk when we booked and booked a brand new hotel with no reviews, Anax Resort and Spa. It absolutely paid off though, it was exquisite. Fresh, clean and stylish and we had one of the biggest rooms I’ve stayed in Europe. The three infinity pools overlook the bright blue seas; a view I could happily have never left!
Where to go in the day: Mykonos is full of amazing beach clubs, but Nammos is an absolute must place to visit. Located on the idyllic Psarou beach, everything about this place oozes luxury. Throughout the day the DJ plays chilled music to relax to on your sun lounger, but at around 3pm the party starts when everyone moves to the bar area. The restaurant has been named one of the top beach dining experience’s in Europe and is a truly amazing experience. Mediterranean cuisine is combined with Japanese dishes which are beautifully presented and are just to die for. After lunch you can then return to the bar for an afternoon of dancing.
Where to go for dinner: In Mykonos an evening meal starts at around 10:30, before then you’ll find the restaurants are pretty empty. We visited some great restaurants whilst we were there but my favourite was definitely Bhudda Bar Beach. A sister restaurant to the Buddha Bar in London, this place serves all the same great food but in the most beautiful surroundings. Located in the Santa Marina hotel you can enjoy a beautiful view as the tables are located on an open terrace overlooking Ornos Bay.
Top Tip Hire a car! Taxis are very few and far between!
