#LetItRain Makeup Step by Step

Get the #LetItRain makeup look with these five steps.

Step one:
The most important part of a makeup for me, whether it's for camera or an everyday look, is beautifully prepped skin. I started by cleansing the face with a lightweight Micellar makeup remover, spritzing with a multi-active toner and applying a hydrating eye cream and a small amount moisturiser where needed. I also applied a rich lip balm to prepare for a smooth lipstick application.

Step two:
Once our lovely model's skin was looking and feeling clean and hydrated, I applied a light
foundation and buffed with a blending brush. I then concealed the under eyes and any areas that needed extra coverage. Next I patted on a touch of highlighter using my fingers to give the skin a radiant finish and applied a setting powder.

Step Three:
Next I created a natural contour to the base using a fan brush followed by a peachy blush on the apples of the cheeks.

Step Four:
Now for my favourite part - brows and eyes! For this look I wanted the brows to appear full but also very clean and perfectly shaped so I used a brow pen for precision followed by a brow gel for extra hold. For eyes, I created a natural contour by blending a soft slate eyeshadow to the crease and patting on a pale cream shade to the eyelid and beneath the brows. I then applied a black gel eyeliner to the top lash line ensuring I exaggerated the flick for an added Hollywood glamour look. Next I applied a touch of black liner to the lower lash line and coated both top and bottom lashes with mascara. I also added a subtle strip of false lashes for added volume on camera.

Step Five:
To complete the look I used a lip liner to create the perfect shape, adding slightly more to the top lip in order to appear fuller. I also applied a touch of concealer to the Cupid's bow to add to the illusion of a fuller top lip. I finished with a matte red lipstick and our model was good to go!
