Sparkly Eyes – How Will You Wear Yours?

Amanda Seyfried Sparkly Eyes

Alex Jones shares her simple tips to add a little sparkle to your eye makeup this Christmas without looking like a walking disco ball!

1.    SMOKEY EYE WITH ADDED BLING!

If you've been following my step by step guides, you'll be familiar with a simple smokey eye makeup application so apply this as you usually would. Next, instead of applying your usual lighter shade, go for a sparkly/metallic option and pat over the eyelids and into the inner corners of the eyes to really brighten them up. Finally, without adding anymore eyeshadow to your brush, gently pat along the eye crease and lower lash line over your darker shade to allow subtle sprinkles of sparkle to fall on top, completing your blinging smokey eye!

2. GLITTER CATS EYE

If you prefer a classic eyeliner flick with minimal eyeshadow, this is an easy way to transform your usual cats eye into a fun, party eye! First apply your usual base and Top liner with flick. Then for this simple but effective look you can add your sparkle by applying a pop of coloured glitter/metallic eyeliner to your lower lash line and because the rest of your eye makeup will be quite minimal, you can afford to be daring and go for a truly striking shade!

3. METALLIC BRIGHTS

This look is perfect for anyone who loves a bold eyeshadow as you can choose any one of your favourite bright shades! It's best to do your eye makeup before your base for this look as you're likely to need to clean up any excess glitter that may have fallen. Keep your eyeshadow application simple, blending into the crease and along your lower lash line with your one chosen shade. Next gently pat a small amount of lip balm on top of your eyeshadow, this will help your glitter to stick. Now for the fun part, using a loose glitter (ensuring it is suitable for the eye
area) simply pat on top of your eyeshadow until it's evenly spread. Finish with a generous coating of mascara. Micropore tape is a handy tool for removing any excess glitter before applying your base.
