The girls in the Cloud Nine office have being busy putting a variety of hair masks to the test! Choosing 4 different hair masks at 4 different price points, the girls chose which mask would best suit their hair-type.

Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment

I was so excited to use this mask treatment as I had read excellent reviews on it and felt although my hair was not badly damaged nor dry, all hair can do with a bit of TLC every so often to ensure it is in the best possible condition. My hair type is quite thin, natural colour and is washed approx. 4 times a week as it can be quite oily. I washed my hair and applied the mask root to tip in replacement of conditioner, tied it up and left it. The guide says to leave for 5 minutes but I left for about 7 – 8 minutes as I had other things to do. When I rinsed it out, my hair instantly felt like it had been given a moisture injection and it was really easy to brush through which was great, I did however miss that just washed feeling though, as I felt there was some residue left and it just didn’t feel 100% clean. Once dried, I still felt there was some residue at the roots, although I used just two fingertips of mask on my hair. All in all, I did like the mask, but would recommend this for very dry, damaged hair rather than my own hair type!

Noughty To The Rescue Intense Moisture Hair Treatment

I've always had frizzy, coarse hair so I'm always on the lookout for a treatment that will tame and soften my hair! This Noughty mask instantly caught my attention for being 97% natural, meaning I wasn't going to strip my hair of natural oils with harsh chemicals, but add nourishment and repair and protect my dry locks! The smell of is quite sweet, but not unpleasant. I left the mask on for over half an hour which was more than the instructed 20 minutes, but my fair felt really smooth and soft afterwards. This formula took more rinsing than my usual treatment as the consistency is very thick, however I'm pleased with the results. I think this mask would be overpowering for someone with fine hair, but for those with course, dry hair it’s a great fix that will leave your hair feeling silky and more manageable.

R&Co Palm Springs Pre-Shampoo Treatment Mask

As a faux blonde, anything that claims any sort of repair to chemically treated hair grabs my attention and this mask was no different!

Following the directions, I applied this pre-shampoo to dry hair. The consistency of the product is a mouse which I assumed would make my hair feel wet when applied, however my hair seemed to absorb the product and just became tacky. I much prefer this for a mask as it makes life a lot easier not having to walk around with my hair dripping wet. After about 10 minutes or so I washed my hair as normal. When rinsing I noticed that my hair was much smoother and silkier rather than usual. Once dried my hair was noticeably smoother and softer and felt really clean, without that heavy feeling most hair masks give my hair. My only quibble would be that the scent isn’t very noticeable once washed out (which to some people will be a major bonus to others). I’d definitely recommended this as a pick me up to anyone who has chemically damaged hair as a regular pick me up!

Sachajuan Hair Cleansing Cream

Working in the hair industry, I have tried almost every high-end to budget friendly hair treatment, shampoo or conditioner imaginable. Of all of those products the good, the bad, and the ugly this one pulled my interest almost immediately. As a busy girl who takes great displeasure in washing my hair it rarely gets done (I tend to wash my hair once a week), and when it does I want to be in and out as quickly as possible. The no suds formula claims to create shine, lustre and moisture which it most defiantly does, my hair hasn’t looked this good in a while and I’m blown away by the results. Something worth noting is that it’s a high-end product, which whilst more expensive, you need to use FAR less of. If you use this don’t go in with an extra-large blob as you would with a high street product as it will overwhelm your hair and make it feel greasy. Overall, used correctly it’s worth every penny!
