During this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are partnering with The Little Princess Trust in a collaboration to raise as much money, awareness, hair and hope to this incredible charity.

The story of The Little Princess Trust begins with Hannah Tarplee. In her own words Hannah’s mum Wendy has shared these words about her beautiful daughter:

"Hannah was a thoughtful and caring little girl who was wise far beyond her years. She lost her short battle with cancer at just 5 years old but in those 5 years she brought so much joy to her friends and family with her sense of fun, her incredible kindness, and her wonderful sense of humour. She loved dancing and was a budding ballerina, she loved musicals and all things Disney. She was our Little Princess. She had just started school and was at the start of an exciting adventure. However tough life was for her, she always found joy in the most unlikely of places and she absolutely adored her little brother, George. Hannah always lit up the room with love, fun & kindness.
The thousands of children helped by this charity, and the incredible lifesaving Little Princess Trust funded research is a wonderful legacy for a truly amazing little girl."

Hannah was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour in 2004 and experienced hair loss due to her treatment, which was especially traumatic as she loved her hair. Hannah’s parents were able to find her a suitable wig after an extensive search, which they described as having a hugely positive effect on their daughter during her treatment. Tragically Hannah passed away in 2005. Knowing the effect a wig had on their daughter, and the experience they had trying to find something suitable, as a fitting, powerful tribute to Hannah, her memory, and her legacy Wendy and Simon, their friends, and Hereford Cathedral Junior School founded The Little Princess Trust in 2006.

The Power of Good campaign is a call to action for you, our incredible CLOUD NINE community to have the chop for charity and donate your hair.

Do the Power of Good

Our campaign features our Original Hot Brush. The Hot Brush by CLOUD NINE is the first choice for second day styling. It goes further. To help hair stay smoother. So if you're frizzy (or just busy) you can touch up style. And smooth down strays. Effortlessly. Featuring Bristles engineered with Hair Tame Tessellation™ to create more grip, less slip. Cool Touch bristles to keep hands safe when styling. And Variable Temperature Control to work at the healthiest heat for you. It's not just taming. It's game changing taming. But most importantly, for every Original Hot Brush sold in September, £10 will be donated to The Little Princess Trust.

We encourage you to take the power into your own hands to fundraise and raise awareness of this amazing charity in your own creative, inventive ways – and please share every moment, post and story with us using #shareyourhair and tag us at @cloudninehair. We love to see it.

What are we doing at CLOUD NINE?

We are calling on our amazing CLOUD NINE community to do The Power of Good and have the chop for charity then share your unstoppable new looks with us using #shareyourhair. Gather your friends, family, and colleagues to make that appointment for The Little Princess Trust. We want to raise as much awareness and money as possible for the incredible, life-changing work they do.

In-house fundraising events

The CLOUD NINE team held a Charity Bake Sale and a wig styling competition judged by Phil & Wendy from The Little Princess Trust, and a sample sale with all proceeds donated to charity. Our very own Head of Sales, Ghalia, has had a huge 14 inches cut off to donate and the CLOUD NINE team completed The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in May, raising an additional £3,000.

So far, we have raised over £50,000 for The Little Princess Trust, and we are not done yet.

We would love for you to join us in our fundraising efforts. Share your donation stories on Instagram and TikTok using #shareyourhair and we can collectively shout about The Little Princess Trust to encourage more donations that are really needed.

Danny Emmett, CEO at CLOUD NINE, said:

“We are delighted to introduce our latest collaborative charity campaign with the Little Princess Trust. This initiative holds a special place in our hearts and so for every Hot Brush sold in September, we will be contributing £10 to the Little Princess Trust—a remarkable charity which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have experienced hair loss and fund vital research into all childhood cancers.”

Phil Brace, CEO at The Little Princess Trust, said:

“We are so grateful to CLOUD NINE for their amazing support. We’ve had great fun working with the team, everyone is so supportive and enthusiastic about the campaign, it’s fantastic seeing the benefits of the CLOUD NINE x LPT collaboration. Working together really does improve the lives of the children and young people we support with real hair wigs. It costs £700 to provide each wig and we have supplied nearly 2,000 over the last year. Plus, there is a great reliance on our funding within the childhood cancer research community. Working with CLOUD NINE helps us to make a real difference to children and young people with cancer."
