Step 1: Start with dry hair.

Step 2: Shake your CLOUD NINE Magical Quick Dry Potion heat protector spray to activate the lightweight conditioners, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: Create a section at the back of your head, near the hairline, and secure it with CLOUD NINE Croc Clips.

Step 4: Select your temperature using the temperature control switch. Temperatures range from 130-180°C. Style at lower temperatures for optimum hair health. Use the Temperature Calculator to discover the best heat setting for your Waving Wand.

Step 5: Wrap a large section of hair around the barrel, using the heat-resistant glove to protect your hand. Hold in place for 20 seconds, then pin in place.

Step 6: As you move around your head, wrap each section around the barrel, away from your face. The barrel is infused with our signature healing mineral Seracite for optimum hair health. It works to seal the hair’s cuticle and lock in moisture for shinier hair every time you style.

Step 7: Unwrap each pinned section one by one, allowing the waves to fall in the same downward direction.

Step 8: Gently backcomb the top sections of your hair for extra lift.

Step 9: Lightly comb through your waves to soften. Perfect.

Can the Waving Wand be used worldwide?
If you want to use a CLOUD NINE product internationally, simply use a UK to EU or US plug adaptor. Please note that our products operate at standard UK voltage (220v – 240v), which means performance can be affected in countries that use different voltage levels. To maximise your chances of styling on the go, we recommend checking your destination’s voltage before you make your trip.

What is the size of the barrel on the Waving Wand?
The barrel on the Waving Wand is 140mm long and 38mm wide and is larger than our Texture Wand and Curling Wand.

How should I store my Waving Wand?
To store your CLOUD NINE Waving Wand properly, only put your Waving Wand away when the barrel is cool and keep the plug away from the barrel to avoid scratches. Try not to tightly wrap the cable around your styling tools. Instead, gently loop it in the carry case. This greatly reduces the chances of wearing the inner wire, which is important because this kind of damage isn’t covered by warranty. 

Does the Waving Wand have an automatic switch off?
After 30 minutes, the Waving Wand will automatically start to cool down to protect your surfaces. To activate, press the Auto button. Once active, the Auto button will be lit up blue and will cut the temperature to your Waving Wand after 30 minutes (even if it is still in use). It’s important to note that the Waving Wand doesn’t have the mechanical function to tell if it’s still in use, like our irons.  If you don’t want your Waving Wand to go into hibernation mode after 30 minutes, press the Auto button to turn this off. 

Can I use the Waving Wand on short hair?
The Waving Wand is the ultimate styling wand for mid-length to longer hair. If you have short or collar-length hair, try our Texture Wand.

What’s the difference between the Curling Wand and the Waving Wand?
The Waving Wand has a larger barrel than the Curling Wand, so you can achieve different results with each wand. While the Waving Wand’s wide barrel creates softer, textured waves, the Curling Wand creates bouncy, shiny curls.
