Step 4: Remove the clear protective film from digital touch pad

TIP - start at one corner of the digital pad and gently lift it with your fingernail. Once you have a small section lifted, the film will come away easily and in one piece. Please see video for guidance.

Curved plates make it easier to curl, wave, or flick your hair without leaving creases. They glide smoothly for more natural-looking styles and give you more versatility from one styling tool.

To straighten with your Contouring Wide Iron:

Smooth the cushioned, curved styling plates through a section of your hair from root to tip in one fluid movement. There’s no need to pause – our Sericite®-infused plates distribute heat evenly for consistent shine. Repeat for all sections of hair.

To curl with your Contouring Wide Iron: 

Position a section of hair between the wide, curved plates and rotate away from the face, using the rounded edges to perfect your curl. For big, bouncy curls, use larger sections of hair, or for tighter, springy curls, use smaller sections. For lasting results, pin the curl until fully cool.

To wave with your Contouring Wide Iron: 

Pointing your straightener downwards, feed larger sections of hair through the plates and rotate the Iron 180°, always working away from the face.  

The Contouring Wide Iron comes with universal voltage (100-240V) included, so you can achieve your perfect style from anywhere in the world. However, it's always best to check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with the local mains supply before connecting the appliance to the mains.

Cloud Nine's Hibernation Mode is a feature of the Contouring Wide Iron. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the plates stop heating but the power remains on, protecting your surfaces from heat damage for stress-free styling. When this feature is activated, the digital pad will power off and the LED lights on the side of your iron will pulse slowly.

The plates on the Contouring Wide Iron do not touch when placed together. Our curved floating plates are designed with Spring-Flex™ Technology to cushion the impact as you style, reducing pressure, tugging and breakage for a smoother glide. This does not impair the straightener’s performance.

Once your Contouring Wide Iron is switched on, the digital display indicates the temperature and whether your straightener is heating up or cooling down. To increase or decrease the temperature, press the up or down arrows above the temperature gauge. The LED lights on the side of your Contouring Wide Iron will flash whilst heating up and remain consistent once it has reached its temperature.

Revive Mode® automatically activates when you switch on your straightener. You will feel and hear a light buzzing as the plates gently vibrate.

To store your Contouring Wide Iron safely and correctly:

• Keep the plug away from the plates to avoid scratching. 
• Do not wrap the cord around your straightener – this can damage it.
• Only put you straightener away when the plates are completely cool.
• When you’re not using your straightener, attach the Protective Heat Guard to shield your surfaces and protect the Sericite®-infused plates from wear.
