Step 1: Start with dry hair.

Step 2: Shake your CLOUD NINE Magical Quick Dry Potion heat protector spray to activate the lightweight conditioners, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: Section your hair and secure it with CLOUD NINE Croc Clips.

Step 4: Select your temperature using the temperature control switch on the back of the handle of your heat styler brush. Temperature settings range from 110-190°C. Style at lower temperatures for optimum hair health. Use the Temperature Calculator to discover the best heat setting for your heated brush.

Step 5: Start with a section of hair that is the same diameter as the Hair Tame Tesselation Bristlees. For best results do not overload the bristles. 

Step 6: Lift and smooth it through the Original Hot Brush from root to tip. Work in a downward motion with tension to aid the straightening process. Your hair needs to have an even distribution of heat from root to tip to seal the cuticles and lock in shine. The Original Hot Brush has Mineral-Infused flat bristles for added care, plus Hair Tame Tessellation™ for the perfect amount of pull.

Step 7: Repeat section by section until you achieve a sleek finish. You should be able to see the end of the bristles through the hair as it glides through the hair, taming and smoothing flyaways as it travels down the entire hair shaft.

Does the Original Hot Brush have an automatic turn-off?
The CLOUD NINE heated brush comes with an automatic switch-off function. After 30 minutes of inactivity, your heated hair brush powers off to protect your surfaces from heat damage. Maximum style. Minimum stress. 

How do I know when my CLOUD NINE heated hair brush is ready to use?
Your Original Hot Brush is ready to use when its indicator light stops flickering and stays constant. This shows it has reached your desired temperature. 

What temperature should I use my Original Hot Brush at?
Our hot brush styler has five temperature settings between 110 and 190°C, which means you can use the temperature most suited to your hair type. Head to our Temperature Calculator to find out more.

How do I change the temperature on my Hot Brush?
Tap the power button on the back of the handle of your CLOUD NINE brush styler to adjust the heat based on your hair type. The CLOUD NINE Original Hot Brush can be set at five temperatures between 110-190°C. We’ve switched things up by locating the controls on our hot brush on the back of the handle, so you can style with zero fear of accidental turn-ups, turn-downs, or turn-offs.

How do I clean my Hot Brush?
Follow these three steps:

1. Unplug and wait for your CLOUD NINE heated styler brush to become cool to the touch.

2. Remove any loose hair strands from between the bristles with your hands or a tail comb. 

3. Take a damp cloth and wipe down in between the bristles until clean.

How should I store my CLOUD NINE Original Hot Brush?
Here is some guidance for storing your Original Hot Brush:

• Keep the plug of your CLOUD NINE heated styling brush away from the bristles to avoid damage. 

• Do not wrap the cord around the head. 

• Only put your hot brush away when it has cooled. 

• Use the Protective Iron Heat Guard to prevent heat damage to your surfaces while you wait.

Should I use a hot styling brush or a straightener?
Hot brushes are ideal for second-day styling. Heated hair brushes are a fast styling solution, perfect for maintaining a healthy hairstyling routine.

Can I use the Original Hot Brush on wet or damp hair?
The Original Hot Brush is designed to be used on dry hair only. Do not use your hot brush hair styler on wet hair.

What hair types does the Original Hot Brush work on?
The Original Hot Brush is suitable for all hair types, but performs best between types 1a and 4c, six inches or longer. For very coarse hair, it is advisable to blow-dry and straighten, then use the Hot Brush for touch-ups.
